On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Malta’s accession to the EU, the Embassy of Malta in Austria is organising a concert of sacred choral music at Vienna`s imposing Votivkirche on the 11th April 2024, at 1900 hrs.

The Laudate Pueri Choir, under the direction of Rev. George J. Frendo, will be performing a wide selection of choral works composed by Maestro Joseph Vella, as also recorded in his popular “Vella…a cappella” CD and available via spotify (https://open.spotify.com/album/0CUUiXvuqLg5CCZaaqTuaP).

Family Vella takes this opportunity to thank H.E. Natasha Meli Daudey, Ambassador of Malta to Austria and Chairperson of the OSCE Permanent Council, and the Laudate Pueri Choir, for this initiative.

The Laudate Pueri choir will also be performing Maestro Vella`s ‘Missa Brevis’ during mass at the Jesuitenkirche, Vienna, on 14th April 2024 . Maestro Vella composed the ‘Missa Brevis’ (Opus 40) in 1984, and this choral work was premiered in the same year at St. George’s Basilica, Gozo.
