The Romanian Orchestra Sinfonica a Filarmonicii ‘Ion Dimitrescu’, in collaboration with “Gaulitana: A Festival of Music”, will be performing two important Joseph Vella works on the 4th March 2024 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania.

‘Rapsodija Maltija’ (Opus 26) was originally written for violin and piano in 1978, and arranged at a later stage by Vella for piano solo or even violin and string orchestra amongst others. ‘Jubilo’ (Opus 47) is on the other hand a 7 minute overture for strings, brass and percussion, first performed in 1987.

The Romanian concert ‘Greetings from Malta’ will be directed by Maestro Vella`s nephew, Maestro Colin Attard. Pierre Louis Attard, Mro. Attard`s son, will be the soloist.
