On the 21st February, up and coming young soprano Nicola Said will be presenting an evening of art songs by Maltese composers in London. The songs will cover a wide period  and selection of Maltese works from  the early 18th Century (Nicolo Isouard) right up to the present time.

Ms Said is already making discrete inroads on the international music scene, and surely looks to have a bright performing career in front of her.

Among the pieces she will perform is one of my very early works – ‘Triptych’ op 6. This short song cycle consisting of three songs with words in English by John Consiglio was composed in 1969 under the titles – A Wish, A Sigh , A Prayer . The concert will be held at St John’s Church in Waterloo.
