A special word of thanks goes to Maestro Colin Attard, Music Director of the Gaulitana Music Festival held in Gozo-Malta, throughout the month of April.

Maestro Attard dedicated the performance of Vincenzo Bellini`s opera “Norma” on Saturday April 28th 2018 to the memory of Professor Maestro Joseph Vella – his very own uncle.

“Norma” was featured as part of the “Gaulitana: A Festival of Music” – three day cultural bonanza entitled OPERA+ Weekend. One of the other events in this cultural weekend also included the performance of Joseph Vella`s “Lament“, during the final concert held on Sunday April 29th 2018.

“Lament” (Opus 103) is for a string orchestra and is also available on CD.
