The Malta International Arts Festival is launching a new series of lunch time concerts, dedicated to the promotion of music by Maltese composers. Established pianist Francis Camilleri will in this regard be performing four works composed by Maestro Joseph Vella, namely 6 Preludes (Opus 70), Sonatina (Opus 30), Scherzo (Opus 10) and Rapsodija Maltija (Opus 26).
The concert will take place  on Sunday 14th June 2026, at the Malta Society of Arts, Valletta (10.30am).
Camilleri will also be elaborating on Vella`s piano compositions during the event. Maestro Vella was Camilleri`s tutor in harmony and counterpoint before passing away.
