Maestro Vella`s elder son, Alan, penned an interesting article on ‘The Times of Malta’s edition of the 23rd April 2024, linking his childhood memories concerning Puccini`s Turandot (whilst studying for his theory of music exam) to his own father`s opera ‘Valeriana’.
