Father`s Day Concert in the USA
Maestro Joseph Vella`s “Passacaglietta” for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 9, is being perfromed in a Father`s Day Concert to be held at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Phildelphia, USA, on the 17th June 2018.
Critically acclaimed clarinetist Christopher Nichols, who has presented recitals and master classes at universities throughout the United States, and Christine Delbeau, who has performed on numerous occasions in collaborations with principal members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, are the solosits.
Both soloists will thereafter also participate in the Victoria International Arts Festival (VIAF) – Gozo (Malta), within the “Transcontinental” Concert on Saturday 7th July. Maestro Joseph Vella contributed wholeheartedly to the growth and international recognition of VIAF, by acting as Artistic Director of the Festival since its inception in 1997, until his passing away in February 2018.
