Family Vella Launches a New Project to Develop a Maestro Vella Digital Platform

Over the years, the Vella Family has been actively preserving and promoting the rich musical legacy of Maestro Joseph Vella. His two sons Alan and Nikki have ensured constant attention to his compositions while regularly supporting event organisers, performers, scholars and students interested in his repertoire. Their initiatives reflect a clear vision to keep his music relevant for future generations.

In this regard, the Vella Family is pleased to announce a new phase in its efforts to reach new audiences both locally and internationally. An ambitious, new initiative to create a comprehensive, one-stop-shop digital platform dedicated to Maestro Vella’s music is now being launched. This project aims to centralize digital access to Maestro Vella`s music in a single, user-friendly online space that is also complemented by an e-commerce facility. By combining modern technology with thoughtful curation, the platform will significantly enhance accessibility, foster greater engagement, and serve as a lasting hub for musicians, researchers, and enthusiasts worldwide.

More information on the initiative will be available via a news story to be shown on the popular TV programme “Ghawdex Illum”, as follows:

Sunday 24th May 2026 at 17.30hrs, on TVM

with repetitions on:
